Schwaz – Mother of all mines

In the middle age this town was the heart of the Tyrol. Archdukes and the big trading families like the Fuggers were supplied with silver from the local mine.  During these days thousands of miners were employed to get the silver out of the mountain.

In the 15th Century this town reached its peak.  Today Schwaz offers you unique possibilities like a visit to the silver mine or the Planetarium
